C.T. Phipps is my first ever featured author of the month! You will see a link to his blog over on the left side. So go say hi and check out his new book Wraith Knight that comes out 11/15/16 it looks so good! But finish looking around here first.

The Rules of Supervillainy (The Supervillainy Saga #1)

by C.T. Phipps narrated By Jeffrey Kafer

I listened to and reviewed Cthulhu Armageddon By C. T. Phipps  a week or two ago and really enjoyed it. So Mr. Phipps thought I might like one of his other books, and he gave me the first Audiobook in his Suupervillainy series for free. Well my friend I should of recognized your classic drug dealer approach. Give them the first one for free, then they comeback begging for more. So in my best high pitched Cockney accent

May I ‘ave smore please.

Aw ‘eaven and ‘ell Sorry and Sad jokes aside I ‘eaven and ‘ell did loike the Jackdaw and Rook. the concept was very Harry Kewell and original. ….. Wai’ what? Blimey! ‘elp me I can’t stop ‘elp Hairy Biscuits and Cheese. Nuff said an’ Freds dead, yeah?

Sorry accents always stick with me. Let me try that again.

All really bad jokes aside I really did like the book. The concept was very cool and original.

Gary Karkofsky is an ordinary guy living in an world full of Supervillains and Superheroes. When the home town Superhero dies, Gary mysteriously gets the hero’s magical cloak in the mail. Deciding he would rather rob people then save them, Gary becomes MERCILESS: The Supervillain Without Mercy. If his wife will let him hire the only Henchwoman he knows, his ex-girlfriend.

It wasn’t life changing or anything but I will definitely read the other two books in the series. It was a Silly, fast paced, and very funny 6 and a half hours..  As for the Audiobook Jeffrey Kafer did another great job on this one even though he really only has one female voice, It was only hard to tell who was who in one scene so not a big deal.

To write a review of a good book is hard so I am going to nitpick here. C.T.’s other book is for adults no question. But with this one there is….  question?. Now  I have no problem with YA or Teen books But i can’t tell what category this one would fit.

This Concept and the Dry Gallows Humor would have made a fantastic family read. But there was just a bit too much the younger ones shouldn’t and hopefully wouldn’t  understand.  I feel like I am not explaining it well.

Let me try it this way.

On Amazon it is in the Teen & Young Adult category. But the “Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought” section has one of the best and hottest fantasy/erotica I have ever read…..um I mean heard about …. um Moving on…

Final Thoughts

The Rules of Supervillainy was an awesomely original and extremely fun ride. The Audiobook was done well. I would recommend it for most people. There is no outright sex but a lot of heavy flirting and talk of same sex or bisexual relationships. But that stuff doesn’t bother me and that’s what matters right?

The Rules of Supervillainy earns 4.25 out of 5 stars
