I read and/or Listen to A LOT of books. Mostly Fantasy and Science Fiction but I add in some Physics every month Like Stephen Hawking, Neil deGrasse Tyson,, and Michio Kaku and of course the occasional Horror. But books like Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea by Chelsea Handler and the book this review is for The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo by Amy Schumer are what I read when I am stressed out and just need a good laugh.

I stock pile them for when they are needed and always make sure I am alone as I listen. Why alone? Because when you stare vacantly at a wall for 5-10 min and then all the sudden sound like you are  the laugh track in a bad 90s sitcom, “SOME” people might try to lock you up in a padded room “for your own safety”.

Ok back to the book. While this one was not as funny as I thought it would be it was much more heartfelt. I could practically see weight being lifted off Amy’s shoulders as she read the book to me. When a comedian reads their own book They are going to have the timing down perfect. because that’s what comedy is all about right? ( No seriously is the timing important? I need professional advice)  I do love Amy’s voice and I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the Title that I absolutely LOVE  to the ending words of farewell. Compared to similar books the length was normal a bit over 6 hours I think. After all is said and done I would rate it a 3.8 but let’s round it up to 4 stars
