Runelords is a excellent series. The magic system is so simple yet elegant that I was blown away. It has been years since I first read this series and I have read hundreds of Fantasy books since then, and this is still one of the best magic systems I have seen.
The plot is great but a tad bit YA for my tastes. The middle books  #4 and 5 the pacing is a bit erratic. The rest of  books are fine but those two are kinda slow. That is normal in most long series though, and it didn’t really bother me. I give it 4 out 5 stars
This is one of the series that all lovers of Fantasy must read! So if you haven’t read it yet get to it….. Go on … go… now …..read it!!!
